What are Baby Sensory Classes?
Baby Sensory classes offer multi-sensory, age-appropriate experiences incorporating touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight to engage your baby and begin to lay the foundations for future learning. Introducing babies to stimulating sensory activities promotes brain development, motor skills, language skills, social interaction and learning through play. Emali Early Learning Centre is introducing Baby Sensory Classes at Emali Brighton, creating engaging and interactive sessions that explore sounds, textures, movements and more in a nurturing environment to foster growth, creativity and fun for you and your baby.

Yes, our sessions are structured to have a break half-way through which will allow all families to mingle or for your baby to explore the learning space.
Yes, Emali Brighton has safe and comfortable facilities for families to utilise while at the centre. If your baby needs a change or feed during classes, please feel welcome to use the spaces and facilities which will be shown to families at the start of each session.
Yes, of course! Baby Sensory classes are a wonderful opportunity to bond with your baby and we welcome any parents wanting to participate. Please let our friendly team know so we can accommodate space and structure the class program to suit. Please note, to ensure the comfort and safety of all children and families, only parents registered can attend or participate in or attend Baby Sensory classes at Emali.
Yes! We are happy to accommodate this for you. Simply purchase a ticket for each child at the time of booking so we are aware and can plan the program to suit.If possible, and to create an enjoyable experience for you and your baby, we suggest both parents/guardians attend to allow an intimate, one-on-one bonding experience between parent and child. However, this is not essential.
Emali’s Baby Sensory Classes have been designed to create intimate one-on-one bonding experiences for parents/guardians and babies.To be able to provide a focussed, enjoyable and safe experience for you, your participating baby and other families, we are only able to accommodate additional children who are enrolled and signed in at the Emali Early Learning Centre hosting the Baby Sensory Classes.
Enrolled children will be invited to join a group of their same age to participate in activities suitable to their interests and developmental milestones.

Emali Brighton plans to offer 10-session programs in early 2025. If you have missed out on tickets for the introductory sessions, we welcome you to email our friendly team so we can add you to our waitlist for first offers & notification with future session times.
At this stage, Emali Baby Sensory classes are only offered at Emali Brighton, however if you are interested in seeing classes added to another Emali ELC, please contact us to request this be considered.
Yes! We welcome all families with babies 3 months - 12 months wanting to participate in Baby Sensory classes. Please book to be registered for the next program here.
These sessions are a separate service to the curriculum provided to enrolled children at Emali and are not covered by the Childcare Subsidy as they are for parents to participate in with their babies. Emali educators do however incorporate many sensory experiences into everyday programming for enrolled children of all ages and developmental stages.
If your child is enrolled at Emali for childcare separate to Baby Sensory Classes, yes, please sign-in your child & our team of Educators will continue daily routines with your child. If your child is not enrolled, a parent or legal guardian must be with them, supervising at all times.

All families who have participated in Baby Sensory classes will receive VIP priority offers for enrolment if seeking ongoing care for their child at an Emali Early Learning Centre. Please chat to our team to enrol, to find out more or to join a waitlist.
We invite all parents participating in Baby Sensory Classes to focus on bonding with their child and participating in the modules during the session. To ensure all families’ preferences about having photos taken are respected, we kindly ask that you allow the Emali team to take all photos which can be shared with you after the session. Only photos taken of participating families who have granted permission will be shared and these photos can be posted on social media should you wish. Strictly no photos are to be taken without permission from an Emali team member outside of Baby Sensory classes.
Bookings can be cancelled at any time, however refunds can only be issued for cancellations advised by email to the Emali team up-to 2 weeks prior to the first Baby Sensory Class per term beginning. As resources, equipment and staff are organised to suit class sizes, adequate notice is required to ensure classes can proceed. If class attendance is missed by a registered family, unfortunately full refunds will not be available. In the case of an unforeseen and special circumstance, Emali will be happy to discuss options with your family and find a way to provide a mutually suitable outcome.
By registering & attending Baby Sensory Classes at Emali Early Learning Centre, the visitors agree that:
- The registered child is immunised in line with Early Childhood Services requirements specified by the South Australian Public Health Act 2011 and National Immunisation Program (NIP). Copies of immunisation certificates to verify this will need to be provided to Emali prior to attendance for Baby Sensory Classes.
- A code of ethics will be respected and adhered to during attendance to Baby Sensory Classes at Emali Early Learning Centres by following all guidelines and rules provided by Emali ELC during induction and housekeeping explanations provided during the program’s first session.
- They will exercise due diligence and that they are solely responsible for the safety & care of their child during visits to Emali for Baby Sensory Classes.
- They accept the request of Emali to remain within the allocated & approved spaces while visiting the centre to ensure the safety and privacy of enrolled & attending children and staff is maintained.
- Photos will not be taken during attendance unless it is of their own child only or if permission has been granted by an Emali employee to ensure the safety and privacy of enrolled & attending children and staff is maintained.
- They will not attend if sick or unwell and to report any contagious illnesses experienced by the child or adult to the Emali team prior to attendance to ensure all guidelines are followed.
- In order to protect those with allergies, food is not brought into the centre unless discussed with an Emali team member and if brought in, that food remains in the visitor’s bag for the duration of attendance.
